Sarnia Police Seize Firearms and Drugs During Warrant Execution.

On July 20, 2023, the Sarnia Police Vice Unit along with the SPS Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at 9-975 Colborne Road, Sarnia.

This was the result of a lengthy investigation into ongoing drug trafficking activities involving illegal street drugs.

During the execution of the search warrant, three individuals were placed under arrest and the following items were located:

  • CZ 75 D Compact 9mm Handgun, loaded with live rounds
  • Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 9mm Handgun, loaded with live rounds
  • 18.85 grams of Fentanyl, approximate street value of $3,298.75.
  • $4,265 in Canadian currency

 As a result of this investigation, all three individuals have been held for bail on the following charges:

Chris DENSMORE (41 years old) Sarnia, is charged with:

  • Careless Storage of a Firearm X 2
  • Careless Storage of a Prohibited Device X2
  • Careless Storage of Ammunition X2
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose X2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm X2
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X2
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X2
  • Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition X2
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

Damar ABRAHAMS, of Toronto, is charged with:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm X 2
  • Careless Storage of a Prohibited Device X2
  • Careless Storage of Ammunition X2
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose X2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm X2
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X2
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X2
  • Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition X2
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

Quon SMITH, of Toronto, is charged with:

  • Careless Storage of a Firearm X 2
  • Careless Storage of a Prohibited Device X2
  • Careless Storage of Ammunition X2
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose X2
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm X2
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X2
  • Possession of a Prohibited Device Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized X2
  • Possession of loaded prohibited or restricted firearm with ammunition X2
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000

All three accused were held in police custody to go before a Justice of the Peace for a bail hearing.

Chief Derek Davis stated, “These types of criminal investigations, along with the involved offenders, are increasingly multi-jurisdictional in nature. We remain very concerned about the risks these handguns could have posed to our community and our front line officers. Our VICE unit, with the assistance of our Emergency Response Team, did an excellent job in safely arresting these individuals and removing these weapons and drugs from our streets.”
