Emergency: 911 General Inquiries: (519) 344-8861

Greetings from The Chief

Hello from all of us at the Sarnia Police Service! I hope you find our website to be informative and easy to access.

Accessibility and openness are two qualities necessary to address the ever-growing relationship between the citizens of Sarnia and those of us tasked with serving and protecting them.

As your Chief, I am honoured to be the face of the Sarnia Police Service and strive to satisfy the needs of the public as well as those of our dedicated members. This community stands out in the way that partnerships develop and continue to evolve with the many service groups, volunteer organisations and service providers. When the term “community policing” is used, Sarnia is a model.

My hope for the future is to expand on those relationships through greater use of technology combined with open communication between all stakeholders and the general public.

Please utilise the various areas of our site, from upcoming events to crime prevention tips and our compliments and complaints sections. We are constantly looking for input from the public to help us improve on the services we provide. We cannot be successful as a police service without input and assistance from the community.

As Albert Einstein said, “The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don’t do anything about it.”

I thank all of you who continue to be the people who do something about it.

Derek Davis
Chief of Police
