Sarnia Police Service to Host Annual

The Sarnia Police Service is proud to announce its annual "Cops for Cans" event, scheduled for Saturday, November 16, 2024. Officers will be stationed at multiple locations across the city from 10 AM to 3 PM, collecting non-perishable food donations for the Inn of the Good Shepherd, a vital local organization that provides support to individuals and families in need.

Donation Locations:

  • Walmart Supercentre - 1444 Quinn Dr.
  • Kyle’s No Frills - 889 Exmouth St.
  • The Real Canadian Superstore - 600 Murphy Rd.
  • Bright’s Grove Foodland - 2600 Lakeshore Rd.

Last year, the Sarnia Police Service collected an impressive 11,558 pounds of food for the Inn of the Good Shepherd. This year, our goal is to surpass that total, helping to stock the Inn's shelves in advance of the holiday season.

How You Can Participate:

  • Purchase pre-packaged food items available at participating stores.
  • Add a few extra items to your grocery purchase to donate.
  • Bring non-perishable food items from home to one of the collection points.

The Sarnia Police Service encourages all residents to join us in making a difference in our community. Together, we can help ensure that local families have access to food and essentials during the holidays and beyond. Your generosity and support are greatly appreciated as we work to strengthen our community and care for our neighbours.
