The Sarnia Police Service is providing an update on the investigation into the recent industrial break-in on Scott Road. During this incident, a chain-link security fence was rammed, and a Lincoln welder valued at $50,000 was stolen.
Officers have recovered the vehicle believed to be involved in the theft. The 2004 Ford commercial truck, stolen from a business on London Line before the break-in, was discovered in a remote area of the Aamjiwnaang First Nation community. The vehicle appears to have been deliberately set on fire and abandoned at this location.
The Sarnia Police Service is appealing to the public for assistance in gathering more information on this case. If you have any details about the theft of the vehicle from London Line, the break and enter on Scott Road, or the vehicle’s abandonment on the Aamjiwnaang First Nation, please contact Detective Constable Shawn Munro at (519) 344-8861, ext. 6179. Alternatively, those who prefer to remain anonymous can reach out to Sarnia Lambton Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or submit tips online at www.p3tips.com.
