Sarnia Police Arrest Male in Prescription Frauds

Between January 21st and January 29th pharmacies throughout South-Western Ontario began receiving prescriptions which appeared fraudulent in nature.  The prescriptions were for the substances of oxycodone and hydrocodone, which are both opioids, and scheduled substances listed in schedule 1 of the Controlled Drugs and Substances act.

These prescriptions were sent to pharmacies in Sarnia, Corunna and Glencoe.

On January 30th, the Sarnia Police Service arrested a male who attended a pharmacy in Sarnia to claim the prescription.

Zachariah Behar-Bruce (25 years of age) of London, Ontario was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Uttering a Forged Document (6 counts)
  • Fraud (6 counts)

Zachariah Behar-Bruce was held by the Sarnia Police Service for a bail hearing.
