Broadcast Time: 6:35 a.m. Date: August 28th, 2023
On August 28, 2023, just after midnight, the victim and his girlfriend returned to a residence in the 200 block of Napier Street, Sarnia. The victim pulled into the driveway and exited from his vehicle at which time he observed a masked suspect. The suspect brandished a firearm and began shooting striking him three times, once in the neck and twice in the chest. The victim and his girlfriend managed to flee the scene and get away from the suspect. The victim ran to the Sarnia Police Service to report the shooting incident.
The victim was transported to the Bluewater Health hospital for initial treatment for the gunshots wound he sustained. He was then airlifted to the London Health Science Centre for further treatment for his serious injuries.
At this time, the suspect is outstanding and the firearm has not been recovered. The Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigations Division is actively investigating this shooting.
