On Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 just prior to 1am the Sarnia Police Service responded to a disturbance within a residence in the 900 block of Murphy Road, Sarnia.
Two adult male roommates were involved in a heated dispute, which resulted in a physical altercation where one of the males stabbed the other male in the chest with a sword.
Sarnia Police officers attended the location and quickly arrested the suspect; 29-year-old Kole RYAN of Sarnia.
RYAN is charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a Weapon and has been remanded into custody pending a Bail Hearing on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old male victim sustained a stab wound to the chest, narrowly missing vital organs. The victim was subsequently transported to Bluewater Health for medical treatment where he remains in Intensive Care, in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries.
