On April 29, 2024, at approximately 10:20 pm, Sarnia Police were called to Canatara Park (1200 Lake Chipican Drive) in regards to a traffic complaint. Information received was that there was a SUV that had left the roadway and was driving on the grass area. Officers attended and conducted an investigation. Officers located the subject vehicle, and observed that the driver of the vehicle intentionally drove their vehicle off of the roadway, causing damage to the grass area that will require repairs.
As a result of the investigation, Chase GRUENING (19 years old, Corunna) has been charged with Mischief Under $5000.
Members of the public are reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
