Sarnia Police Seeking Assistance – Robbery Investigation

  Broadcast Time:    3:30pm                            Date: 2023/05/26 The Sarnia Police Service Criminal Investigations Branch is currently investigating a Robbery that occurred in the evening hours of May 21st, 2023 in the area of Wildwood Park, Bright’s Grove. During the incident, the victim sustained injuries. It is believed that numerous people were in the area at the time and may have assisted the victim and/or retrieved some of the stolen items discarded by the suspects as they fled. Vice Unit Arrests Female for Trafficking

  Broadcast Time:    6:50am                         Date: May 26, 2023 During the spring of 2023, members of the Sarnia Police Vice Unit, began an investigation involving the trafficking of drugs within the City of Sarnia. On May 10, 2023, a search warrant was executed in the 1600 block of London Line. As a result of the warrant execution, a female was taken into custody without incident. A search of her residence commenced and, as a result, the following was seized: 82.17 grams of methamphetamine 38.77 grams of cocaine $1090.00 Canadian currency The total street value of drugs and cash seized was approximately $9,843.70.

Sarnia Police Service Online Reporting

Broadcast Time:    3:30pm                            Date: May 23, 2023   During the 2023-2025 Business Plan public meetings and survey, the community expressed an expectation for the Sarnia Police Service to provide online reporting options. The introduction of online reporting redirects non-emergency calls from front line officers, and increases their availability for higher priority and emergency response assistance. There are several different types of non-emergency incidents that can now be reported online. Early Morning Impaired

  Broadcast Time:    8:20 AM                            Date: May 5, 2023 At approximately 2:20 AM, on May 5, 2023, Sarnia Police responded to a collision that took place on Queen Street. Upon arrival officers located a vehicle that had struck a parked dump truck. Both the vehicle and the dump truck had sustained significant damage. The driver was transported to hospital due to injuries sustained. Also, grounds were formed to arrest the driver for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
