Theft Investigation-1 Year Anniversary

On Wednesday February 14, 2024, the Sarnia-Lambton Native Friendship Centre will be holding their Annual Women’s Memorial March.

On this date last year, the Sarnia Police Service (SPS) entered into an investigation involving the theft of several red dresses that were hung on display in front of Sarnia City Hall.

The dresses were to honour the memories of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls across Canada.

Video obtained by police at the time show a male party removing the dresses at approximately 5:15 a.m. on February 14th, 2023.
