Arrest Made – Exmouth St Home Invasion

Broadcast Time:        9 am                    Date: April 14th, 2024   Original Release: April 10, 2024 https://www.sarniapolice.ca/home-invasion-exmouth-street/ On April 10th, 2024 at 3:15 am the Sarnia Police Service responded to a home invasion in the 300 block of Exmouth Street in the City of Sarnia. A male approached the patio of the victim’s residence, carrying a large paper bag. The accused jumped onto the balcony, smashed the glass door, and entered the victim’s apartment. The victim confronted the intruder and was violently attacked. The 46-year-old male victim suffered a large laceration to his head, along with cuts and scrapes to his hands and knees.

Modified Firearm – Fentanyl – Methamphetamine Seizure

Broadcast Time:        1:20pm                Date: April 12, 2024 On Thursday April 11, 2024 at 4:00am, a uniformed patrol officer of the Sarnia Police Service, conducted a vehicle stop on Murphy Road, in the City of Sarnia. The vehicle and its two occupants had been observed committing a traffic violation, and additional contraventions of the Liquor Licence Act were identified in the initial interaction with the driver. Stolen Youth Football Jerseys Returned to League

The jerseys, which were purchased for the entire league, had a value of $7000 and would have caused a significant financial burden to replace for the youth league. During the early evening hours on April 6, 2024, a package was stolen from the front porch of a residence in the area of Mackenzie Street North and Durand Street. That package contained jerseys for the Bluewater Flag Football League, which is a youth flag football league. Robbery – Devine Street

  Broadcast Time:    5:00pm                    Date: April 5, 2024   On April 3rd, 2024, at 6:40pm the Sarnia Police Services responded to 811 Devine Street for a robbery that had just occurred. The 23 year old victim resides in an apartment at this address and is prescribed opioids for a medical condition. A male suspect knocked on the apartment door indicating there was an emergency outside asking for help. The victim answered, at which time the male held a knife to the occupant’s stomach, demanding her prescription medication. She provided a quantity of her medication and the suspect fled on foot. The Northgate Pharmacy is located within the Northgate Plaza on Exmouth Street, in the City of Sarnia. Unprovoked Assault – Napier Street/Durand Street

Drug Search Warrant – Cotterbury Street

Broadcast Time:                                Date: On March 27, 2024, members of the Sarnia Police Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Sarnia Police Criminal Investigations Division executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant at a residence in the 100 block area of Cotterbury Street in Sarnia. During the execution of the search warrant, two individuals were arrested without incident.
